Printable SMART Goal Setting Templates

SMART Goal setting templates perform a simple but powerful function. They provide a framework for you to:

Put your goals on paper and look at them regularly.

Of all the tips on setting goals, this is the simply the best approach if you want to set and achieve anything meaningful.

Of course, we all set goals (some of which we actually choose consciously), but all too often we give up on them.

The reasons why are many and varied but, essentially, they boil down to a lack of motivation -- the reason for choosing the goal in the first place gets lost in the fog of daily life.

SMART goal setting templates, such as those below, remind of you of what you want, why you want it and how to get it.

Print and use the free templates below to accelerate your progress towards what you want and waste less time on the way. (Printing and displaying your goal is more effective than keeping a copy on your computer which you only see when you use it.)

Tip: If you can, add an image to your template of what it is you want to achieve. Use the space provided at the bottom of each template.

You will need Adobe Reader (the latest version is recommended) installed on your computer in order to open and read these free printable planners. You can get Adobe Reader here (a new window will open so you can download it without leaving this page).

If you want to open the file in your browser window, just click on the link (opens new window). However, if you want to download the file to view later, or a left click doesn't open it for you, then right-click on the link and choose "Save Target As", "Save File As" or "Save Link As". Then select where you want to save the file on your hard drive for future use.

Once you have saved the file, locate where you saved it, and double click to open.

In order to print, open the downloaded file, and select the "Print" option from the menu.
