Apart from running this site I spin many of the same plates
as most people – family, friends, home, mortgage, full time job, hobbies –
common commitments, but no less important for that.
In short, life is pretty full on. Looking back, that’s really what sparked my interest in developing time management skills - it’s also what keeps me improving them.
Over the years I’ve spent thousands of hours reading, watching, applying and teaching time management ideas. I’ve learnt about putting things off, getting things done, roles, goals, commitments, projects and priorities. I’ve tried countless systems, strategies and techniques.
I’ve nailed it, in terms of knowing what works for me (well, most of the time!).
The thing about managing time is that there is no “one size fits all” approach.
What works for one person won’t necessarily work for another - we’re all different people with different values and circumstances.
That said, there are a number of evergreen skills, techniques and principles that will work, no matter you are or what you do.
You don’t have to go out and gather them yourself - they’re on this site.
Take a minute to think about how you manage your time now.

Theory is important, but practice is what counts.
