What I Use

by Ona
(WA)

I use the Levenger "Weekly Organizer".

It is undated and without times. The planner is separated "Morning, Lunch, Afternoon, Dinner Evening". It also has a place along the bottom for three names. As I don't have anyone else to manage I use this for my To Do's. It can be done as Urgent, Important, Fun, etc or the three things I must do today.

The undated element is great because I don't feel like I'm wasting paper if I'm on a holiday or off week. Also, this can be dated a year in advance if wanted.

Lastly, Levenger is punched so it can be moved to different folders which works wonderfully if a project is in need of scheduling or different journal changes are wanted.

There's a lot to be said for having an undated planner. My work planner's the same - I fill in the dates myself so that each day in it is a actually used.

What matters most, of course, is that a planner is easy to use. For me there are two important criteria to consider:
  1. How easy is it to put things in?
  2. How easy is it to get to?
Although it's not necessary to have a "bells and whistles" planner, it does need to be attractive enough to want to work with on a daily basis.
